Prep Bowling: Bulldogs beat Steeleville

The week that wraps up with a regional Saturday resulted in a win for Harrisburg Monday at S.I. Bowl in Carterville.

The Harrisburg boys beat Steeleville 2629-2070, where Brenden Mitchell led the Bulldogs with a 588 and Zach Hunt chipped in with a 571.

“Steeleville is in their first year of high school bowling so we had a decided advantage going in,” Harrisburg head coach Doug Cottom said. “We are trying to get ready for the regional on Saturday and I saw some good things but also some continuing problems. We have a couple of matches this week to still prepare so we will see.”
