Golf: Williams, Black claim SHCC championships

Shawnee Hills Country Club held their annual Club Championship Tournament over the Labor Day weekend.

Cindy Black won the Ladies Championship shooting a 169 with Diane Haney finishing second with 171. Suzette Lambert and Lynda Maynard tied for third place with a pair of 174's.

Ryan Williams won the Men's Championship with a score of 135 over Ron Ozment, who shot a 136 and finished second. Michael Tison took third with a 138. These three along with Robbie Nicholes, Ben Fowler, and Kenny Jenkins will represent SHCC in the Tony Stevens Cup later in September.

Cain Sheldon won the A-Flight with 146 over Roger Angelly, who finished second with a 147. Jack Nolen finished third with 151.

Jason McGowan won the B-Flight with a 158, Jerry Turner finished in second with a 159 and Max Haney, Pete Smith and Gary McGowan tied for third place with a score of 160.

Kenny Jenkins is the Match Play Championship for SHCC 2016 season.
