EHT - Step In The Right Direction

For Eldorado head coach Josh Bradley, it's all a matter of perspective.

Yes, the Eagles finished fifth at the Eldorado Holiday Tournament Tuesday night, knocking off Union County 74-47, but his team finished 3-1.

The same record that the second place, third place and consolation champion finishes with.

So, at tournament's end, Bradley was more content with where the program is and it's play in the EHT, rather than the hardware it received.

"It's a big deal for our kids," Bradley said of taking fifth place. "There is only one team that goes 4-0 and the second place team goes 3-1, the third place team goes 3-1 and the consolation team goes 3-1, so really to us, what's the difference in getting second or fifth place? You're still 3-1.

"For our kids to get four games in at the EHT and it's been about five or six years since we have played four or five games in the tournament and this is the first time in four or five years that we have had 10 wins before the new year, which is two more than we had all of last year, so I think it's a big bonus for our kids and their confidence is up, which is good to see."

Earlier in the day, Eldorado stayed alive by knocking off NCOE 79-53 and in two games Tuesday, the Eagles scored a combined 156 points.

Bradley maintains that there wasn't any extra shooting potion or magic dust he sprinkled on his Eagles. It was a little more simpler than that.

"The shots we didn't make yesterday went in (today)," Bradley said. "Realistically that's all it was. We had a lot of shots against Harrisburg that just didn't go in and when it does go in, it just looks so much prettier and that was the case in two games today."
