Five questions with ... Bernard Bayer of Equality

Q. Have you ever attended a city council or school board meeting?

I was road commissioner for 22 years, on the township board for a number of years, and I was county chairman of the Democratic Party for Gallatin County for a term, so I probably attended more meetings than I wanted to.

Q. What is your super power, and how do you use it?

My super power is baby-sitting and rocking my brand new grandson in Evansville, Indiana to sleep. I love kissing on him too!

Q. What's the best advice a teacher, friend or family member has ever given you?

I would say the best advice anyone has given me is "Do not forget the Judgment Day, because we all want to get to Heaven."

Q. Where do you see yourself in five years?

In five years, I'll be 77 years old and I hope I'm still here to help my new grand-baby saddle up his pony.

Q. If you could have one do-over in your life, what would it be?

I would have married my second wife first!
