Donald White Sr.

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Donald White Sr., 93, 2700 Carnahan St., Eldorado, died 12:31 a.m. Monday, May 30, 2011, at Saline Care Center, Harrisburg.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, June 2, 2011, at Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado with Kitty Martin officiating. Burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery with military rites. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at the funeral home.

He was born on Sept. 10, 1917, to Franklin and Florence (Ground) White, on the Cattarugus Reservation, N.Y. On Nov. 19, 1969, he married the former Kathy Asher, who survives in Eldorado.

He was an iron worker in the construction field. He served in the Navy in World War II. He was the general foreman of the south leg of the Gateway Arch, a member of the Iroquis VFW Post and American Indian Society of Southern Illinois.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Donald "Flip" (Jeree) White of Salamanca, N.Y. and Robert "Bob" White of Evansville, Ind.; two daughters, Barb John of Salamanca, N.Y. and Donna (Leroy) Lepsch of Hamburg, N.Y.; a brother, Milburn White of Cattaraugus Reservation, N.Y.; two sisters, Adalaide White of Cattaraugus Reservation, N.Y. and Rose Sanford of Cattaraugus Reservation, N.Y.; many grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Cecil John; and three sisters, Virginia Snow, Lorraine John and Adeline Lay.
