James T. Smith, 51, Opdyke, died 10:30 p.m. Friday, July 3, 2009, at his residence.
Services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2009, at Gholson Funeral Home in Dahlgren with the Rev. Elton Storey officiating. Burial will be in Wolf Prairie Cemetery near Waltonville with graveside military rites by Mount Vernon American Legion Post No. 141. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 6, 2009, at the funeral home.
He is survived by two sons, a daughter, a daughter-in-law, two brothers, a sister and seven grandchildren.
