Obituary: Clyde L. 'Tubby' Goolsby

Clyde L. “Tubby” Goolsby, 66, of Eldorado passed away Friday, Feb. 17, 2012.

Clyde was born in Harrisburg on Oct. 16, 1945, a son of the late Alma (Mallody) Middleton and Clyde F. Goolsby.

He worked as a mechanic and a truck driver.

He was the husband of Judith (Smith) Goolsby, who survives.

In addition to his wife, Clyde is survived by his stepmother, Ora Goolsby of Wasson, a grandaughter at home, Trinity Goolsby; two daughters, Crystal Allen Goolsby of Hampshire and Catrina (Dillon) Goolsby of Kentucky; four sons, Curtis (Jennifer) Goolsby of Eldorado, Chris (Linda) Goolsby of Eldorado, Craig Goolsby of Eldorado and Justin (Kala) Goolsby of Kentucky; two sisters, Janice Sprinkle of Indiana and Sharon Williams of Wasson; three brothers, Danny Goolsby of Wasson, Carl Sisco of Harrisburg and Troy Sisco of Harrisburg; several grandchildren Lyle (Brooksy) Goolsby, Cody (Amber) McGill, Britni McGill, Taylor Griffith, Leanne (Wes) Goolsby, Lars Goolsby, Chevy Goolsby, Jada Allen, Katy Jean Goolsby, Teryn Headrick, Trent Goolsby and Destiny Goolsby; three great-grandchildren, Carsyn McGill, Kayden Key and Hayden Headrick; and a daughter-in-law, Carolyn Goolsby of Eldorado.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Chrissinda “Lacy” Goolsby; a grandson David Allen Jr.; a brother Mike Stringer; and several aunts and uncles.

Funeral service will be held at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012, with Pastor Fred Wilson officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Visitation is 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012, to service time at funeral home.
