Donald L. Abell

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Donald L. Abell, 67, of 507 McLain St., Equality, died 10 p.m. Thursday, March 31, 2011, at his son&#39;s residence in Eldorado.

Donald was born in Ridgway on July 21, 1943, to the late James and Estell Abell. He was a carpenter and a veteran of the Vietnam War.

He married the former Katherine Carleen (Crayne) Abell in March of 1976 and she preceded him in death on May 30, 2009.

Donald is survived by two sons, Wade and (Teresa) Abell of Eldorado and James Abell of Equality; two stepsons, Sonny Couser of Ridgway and Carl "Bud" (Lena) Couser of Eldorado. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Danielle Couser, Tara Couser, Sonny Couser II, Josh Myers, Chelsie Abell, Kourtney Abell, Destiny Abell and Stephanie Abell; and two great-grandchildren, Isabella Couser and Zain Abell.

Also surviving are three brothers, John (Helen) Abell of Ridgway, Larry (Rose) Abell of Brookport and Bill (Donna) Abell of Ridgway; and four sisters, Maryanna Abell of Belleville, Helen Maloney of Ridgway, Pat Boulds of Eldorado and Connie and Jim Roemelin of Hillsboro.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Kenny Abell; and two sisters, Dorothy Hudstech and Carolyn Divile.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, April 4, 2011, at the Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado with Fr. Steven Beatty officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph&#39;s Catholic Cemetery in Ridgway with military rites. Visitation was be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 3, 2011, at the funeral home.
