Vivian Hetterscheidt

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Vivian Hetterscheidt, 85, Harrisburg, passed away on Friday, March 12, 2010, at her residence in Harrisburg.

She was born on Dec. 22, 1924, in Mt. Carmel to the late F.J. and Mamie (Phelps) Webb. On March 3, 1949, she married John O. Hetterscheidt and he preceded her in death in July 1990.

Vivian was a homemaker, member of the American Legion Auxiliary and attended McKinley Avenue Baptist Church.

Surviving family members include a son, Jack and wife Donna Hetterscheidt of Harrisburg; a daughter, Donna and husband Eddie Foy of Harrisburg; her sister, Joan Boots-Smith of Harrisburg; and 20 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Virginia Nelson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, John Hetterscheidt; daughter, Dorothy Gilliam; three brothers; and four sisters.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 16, 2010, at Reed Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Ron Nelson officiating. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery near Galatia. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
