Peggy A. Childs

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Peggy A. Childs, 75, of Morton, passed away at 12:37 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

She was born on Aug. 10, 1935, in Harrisburg to Pete and Mae Meacham. She married Charles David Childs on Aug. 1, 1952, in Harrisburg.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.

Surviving are her husband, Charles of Morton; three children, William David (Michelle) Childs, Vickie Ann (Jerry) Schumm and Richard Lee Childs; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Peggy was the owner and operator of Peg's Corner in Peoria for many years. She was an avid glass collector and Antique Dealer, operating a booth at the Pleasant Hill Antique Mall with her husband Charles.

Cremation will be accorded and a memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2011, at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. The Rev. Tom Miller will officiate.
