Betty Ann Phillips, 74, of Eldorado, passed away at 2:25 a.m. Monday, Feb. 20, 2012, at her residence.
Betty was born in Vienna on June 13, 1937, a daughter of the late Freeda Lee (Hester) and Loren Ford.
She was a homemaker. She loved her family very much and enjoyed the time she spent with them.
She attended Gospel Assembly churches in Vienna, Cairo, Kansas City, Mo., St. Louis, Mo., and Eldorado.
She was the wife of Robert Herschel Phillips, who survives.
In addition to her husband Betty is survived by a daughter, Lesa J. (Marty) Suits of Broughton; a son, Doug (Elizabeth) Woning of Eldorado; a sister, Gertrude Brown; three brothers, Robbie (Marietta) Ford of Vienna, Ralph (Ella) Marie Ford of Vienna and Bill Ford of Anna; grandchildren, Melissa A. Woning, Michael A. (Halee) Woning, Byron W. Suits, Brittney N. Suits; and a sister-in-law, Gayla Ford.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Gerrit A. “Tony” Woning; one sister, Wilma Brown; two brothers, Loren Ford Jr. and Donald Ford; a nephew, Mark Ford; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Ford and Barbara Ford; and three brothers-in-law, Everett “Bud” Brown, Jim Soper and David Brown.
Funeral service will be held at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home at noon on Friday, Feb. 24, 2012, with the Rev. Gary Suits officiating. Burial will be in Fraternal Cemetery in Vienna.
Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012, at the funeral home.
