Mildred P. Dennis
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mildred P. Dennis, 94, Harrisburg, passed away at 10:04 p.m. Monday, June 6, 2011, at Fountainview Nursing Home, Eldorado.
Mildred was born in Harrisburg to the late Joseph and Nellie (Bertonis) Kwet. She married Judge Wayne Trafton Dennis on Nov. 30, 1940, and he preceded her in death. Mildred was a devoted wife and mother, a homemaker, bowler and avid music lover and dancer.
Surviving family members include three children, Rowena Dages, Deborah Carter and Michael Dennis; and two sisters, Helen Martin of Buffalo, Mo. and Frances Draths of Chicago.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Trafton; one son, George Dennis; one sister, Donna Thompson; and one brother, George Kwet.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 10, 2011, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Harrisburg. Father Ignatius Okonkwo will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 9, 2011, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church of Harrisburg, Fountainview Nursing Home or the charity of the donor's choice.
