Dolores Deane Cobb Canup

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Dolores Deane Cobb Canup, 79, of Sullivan, Ind., passed away at 8:05 p.m. Thursday, March 31, 2011, at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Ind.

She was born in Harrisburg on Dec. 6, 1931, the daughter, of John Louis Cobb and Wilma Margaret Horne Cobb.

Dolores was a member and deaconess of the First Baptist Church in Sullivan, Ind., a member of the Eastern Star and a beautician for 61 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; also a son, Stephen Alan

Canup; and a sister, Ramona Reynolds.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Robert H. Canup, whom she married on March 10, 1952, in Alexandria, Va.; one son, Robert L Canup (Linda) of Merom, Ind.; one daughter, Karen Ferguson (Jay) of Sullivan, Ind.; a stepbrother, Eddie Cole of Golconda,; seven grandchildren, Amber Bonham, Jessica Hampton, Jana Tracy, Jason Canup, Josh Canup, Craig Ferguson and Cara Ferguson; nine

great-grandchildren; and seven nieces.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday April 5, 2011, at Banks and Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan, Ind., with the Rev. Ron Riggs and the Rev. Timothy Fleace officiating. Interment will be in the Center Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 4, 2011, and before services Tuesday. An Eastern Star service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday.
