Rosalie Scalf

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Rosalie Scalf, 82, formerly of Riverside, Calif., passed away Oct. 23, 2008, at Four Seasons Hospice in Flat Rock, N.C.

She was born June 6, 1926, in Evansville, Ind.

Rosalie was a loving mother and wife who loved to travel, read, socialize with friends and family and help others. She attended Harvest Christian Fellowship prior to moving to North Carolina in 2006 to live under the care of her son.

She is survived by her son, Rick Carner; two sisters, Ruth Gorman and Nelda Brandsasse; one brother, Carl Alvers; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Scalf; and her daughter, Kathy Hornbach.

Memorial services will be held at noon Monday, Oct. 27, 2008, at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado. Interment will follow immediately at Rhine Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Four Seasons Hospice in Flat Rock, N.C.
