Edna M. Gerhardt

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Edna M. Gerhardt, 95, of Harrisburg, passed away 8:37 a.m. Friday, Oct. 22, 2010, in the Carrier Mills Nursing Home.

She was born Oct. 7, 1915, in Carmi to Ezbon and Susie Byrd Allyn. She was married to Elzie Gerhardt and he preceded her in death on Feb. 6, 1974. Edna was a member of the First Baptist Church in Harrisburg.

Edna is survived by one daughter, Elna (David) Holder of Harrisburg; one granddaughter, Christy (Jon) Shackleford of Harrisburg; one great-grandson, Danny (Alison) Ammon of Wright, Wyo.; Joe Frederick, who was raised in the family home and two great-great-grandsons, Dalten Tre Ammon and Reid Carter Sekman.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elzie Gerhardt; one brother, Ezbon Allyn Jr.; three sisters, Bea Allyn, Agnes Reed and Vivian Murray; and a great-granddaughter, Jonna Shackleford.

Graveside services will precede burial 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 25, 2010, at Lindale Cemetery near Eldorado with the Rev. Chris Winkleman officiating. Friends may call after 11 a.m. Monday at the J.M. Weirauch Funeral Home in Harrisburg.
