Johnie Wayne Proffitt

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Johnie Wayne Proffitt, 65, South Land Street, Harrisburg, died 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at his residence.

He was born on Oct. 21, 1944, in Harrisburg to the late Charles L. Proffitt and Wanda McDermott Proffitt. He was married to Esko Mouradian.

He was an Army veteran. He was retired from Rocky Mountain Industries as head of security in Hamilton, Mont.

He is survived by his wife, Esko Proffitt of Stevensonville, Mont.; mother and stepfather, Wanda (Roger) Roark of Harrisburg; and a son, John Proffitt of Harrisburg.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Proffitt.

At his request, the body has been cremated. Memorial graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, March 15, 2010, at the Lindale Cemetery in Eldorado. The Rev. Roger Roark will be officiating. Those attending the service are asked to meet at the cemetery prior to service time. Absher-Nicholson Funeral Home in Carrier Mills is entrusted with the arrangements.
