Linda Heflin

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Linda Heflin, 58, of Galatia, went home to be with the Lord at 7:55 p.m. Monday, Sept. 20, 2010, at the Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion.

She was born on May 20, 1952, in Williamson, W.Va., to Earl and Pauline (Williamson) Slone. Linda married Bob Heflin on May 24, 1981, in Galatia.

She attended the North America Church.

She is survived also by three sons, Jim (Tammy) Griffin, Justin and Laramie Heflin; a daughter, Stephanie Heflin; four grandchildren, Felishia, Michaela, Laramie Dale and Breanna; one brother, Walker Slone.

Preceding her in death were her parents; a son, Jeremy Heflin; a brother, Joe "Bear" Slone; and a sister, Joann Yates.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 24, 2010, at the Sloan Funeral Home in Galatia with visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 23, 2010, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Ebenezer Cemetery with Bro. Ownly Williams and the Rev. Mike Weaver officiating.
