</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Ethel Mae Thompson, 92, 2436 W. Locust St., Eldorado, died 6 p.m. Friday, May 13, 2011, at Ridgway Manor.

Services were held 2 p.m. Sunday, May 15, 2011, at Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado with the Rev. Lyndal Sork officiating. Burial was in Lindale Cemetery. Visitation was 1 p.m. to service time Sunday at the funeral home.

She was born on June 14, 1918, in Yost, Ky., to Charles and Maude (Sherfield) Telban. She married Randall Thompson, who preceded her in death in 1981.

She was a seamstress.

She is survived by a daughter, Ruth Jones of Ridgway; a sister, Tilly Serles of Valparaiso, Ind.; several grandchildren, Beth (Sam) Pyle of Ridgway, Mike (Brenda) Pfister of McLeansboro, Donna Hesterly of Ridgway, Mark (Tammy) Pfister of Morton and Lisa Rider and Janice (Thomas) Drone, both of Ridgway; several great-grandchildren, Michael and Matthew Pfister, Andy Rider, Dylan Hesterly, Luke and Danielle Pfister, Kelly, Kris, Kory and Kourtney Kuizenga and Dustin Drone; and four great-grandchildren, Gavyn and Bentley Rider, Makuyla Martin and Karter Kinbrue.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Edward Telban and Harold Telban; six sisters, Jeanette Burns, Frances Westfall, Lucille Tuttle, Ada Swears, Louise Thompson and Doris Whitmire; and a grandson, William Randall Pfister.
