Paul Duncan Banks

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Paul Duncan Banks, 73, Carrier Mills, died 4:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 14, 2011, at his residence.

Paul was born on March 12, 1937, in Energy to the late Hershel and Margaret (Henderson) Banks.

He was an Army veteran and retired from the Olin Corp. in Marion.

He is survived by his son, Shawn (Bobbie) Jo Banks of Herrin; and two grandsons, Christopher Todd Banks and Noah Patrick Banks, both of Herrin.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

At his request, there will be no services and burial will be at a later date in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery west of Vienna. The family is being assisted with arrangements by the Absher-Nicholson Funeral Home in Carrier Mills.
