Joyce Alexander of Eldorado

ELDORADO - Joyce Alexander, 70, formerly of Cobden, died at 12:20 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 17, 2017, in Select Specialty Hospital in St. Charles, Missouri.

She was born June 6, 1947, in Cobden, the daughter of Nova Lee and Evelyn Bonita (Aldridge) Pack.

Survivors include her sister, Bonnie (Jerry) Coffman of Foley, Missouri; brothers, Nova Dean Alexander of Riverside, California, and Danny Reed of Hammond, Indiana; uncle, Clarence Ray (LaVonne) Aldridge of Anna; nephews and nieces, Scott (Jeri) Hagler, Steven (Christie) Hagler, Angela (Frank) Owens, Rhonda (Kurt) Anderson, Brandon (Jessica) Pack, Joshua (Michelle) Pack, Destiny Faith Pack and Stephanie Reed; and great-nieces, great-nephews, numerous cousins, other relatives and many close friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Nova Lee Pack; mother, Evelyn Bonita (Aldridge) Reed; and brothers, Ronald Pack and Roger Pack.

Joyce was a member of Star Church of Eldorado. She was a children's minister and dearly loved children.

Some of her many hobbies included baking, decorating cakes and quilting.

Joyce was a great conversationalist. She would keep in touch daily with all of her family and friends. It was very important to Joyce for her family to stay connected, sometimes spending hours each day on the phone catching up.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, in Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden with Pastor Mike Sharp officiating. Interment will be in Cobden Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with expenses.
