Margaret Anne Emmons

HARRISBURG -- Margaret Anne Emmons, 76, passed away at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 30, 2017, at her residence in Harrisburg, six years to the day when her husband died.

She was born Aug. 1, 1940, in Harrisburg to the late Walter and Lacresia (Hale) Small. She married Donald R. "Sarge" Emmons on June 6, 1956, and he preceded her in death Jan. 30, 2011.

Margaret was a homemaker and worked for many years at Saline Care Center in the housekeeping department.

Survivors include four children, Ladona Davis and husband Jim of Harrisburg, Linda Orndorff and husband Chris of Eldorado, Paula Fulkerson and husband Jeff of Harrisburg and Beth Owen and husband Eric of Harrisburg; 10 grandchildren, Jennifer Terrell, Melinda Thacker, Justin Fulkerson, Casey Bartlett, Destiney Emmons, Montana Martin, Kelcie Martin, Hannah Davis, Jaydon Emmons and Makinze Orndorff; three stepgrandchildren, J.R. Owen, Garrett Owen and Dillon Glore; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Emmons; and son, William Donald “Buddy” Emmons on May 3, 2013.

Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, in Lindale Cemetery in Eldorado with the Rev. Barry Bascom officiating. There will be no visitation; those wishing to attend should gather at the cemetery.
