Willia Bea Mosby

LEAMINGTON -- Willia Bea Mosby, 83, passed on this life on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017, in Harrisburg Medical Center.

Willia was born Sept. 9, 1933, in Marion to the late Sherman and Oleva (Baker) Kingston. On Oct. 5, 1952, she married Charles Joseph Mosby, who preceded her in death.

She was a faithful member of Pisgah General Baptist Church, where she also was a Sunday school teacher.

Willia loved her family and church family with all of her heart. She will always be known for her divinity candy she made at Christmas, her favorite holiday.

Her big heart and beautiful soul will never be forgotten by those who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her daughters, Katie Downen of Shawneetown, Kim Downen of Karbers Ridge and Jeri and John Matz of Wauchula, Florida; grandchildren, Courtney and Joel Oldham, Jordan and Paul Ahrens, Hank and Barbie Downen, Kassy Downen, Lucas Downen, Wyatt Downen, Sarah and Chris Zender, Emmy Baustian and Noah and Will Matz; seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Jenny and Billy Briddick of Eldorado, Harry and Carol Kingston of Fairview Heights and Carla and Matt McDonald of Huntsville, Alabama.

She also was preceded in death by her son, Rock Mosby; and grandson, Chris Downen.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, in Pisgah General Baptist Church on Route 1 South, near Leamington, with the Rev. Steve Hunt officiating. Burial will be in Equality City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
