GALATIA -- Ida Jean Harris, 84, passed away at 7:30 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 8, 2017, in Parkway Manor Nursing Home in Marion.
She was born Aug. 25, 1932, in Williamson County to Ezra and Beulah (Newton) Lawrence.
Jean married James Harris on June 2, 1949, in Morganfield, Kentucky, and he preceded her in death on April 18, 2015.
She was a member of Galatia First Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Jimmy (Barbara) Harris and Danny (Patty) Harris; six grandchildren, Chris, Brian, Greg, Aaron, Travis Lannom and Kate Harris; nine great-grandchildren, Addi, Jay, Scarlett, Graham, Lily, Kolton Lannom, Abigail, Whitlee and Virginia; two sisters, Joann Fletcher and Mary Brooks; and brother, John Lawrence.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James; sister, Mildred Lawrence; and two brothers, Gail and Don Lawrence.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, in Sloan Funeral Home in Galatia with the Rev. Kevin Peyton officiating. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, at the funeral home.
