James Genet

ELDORADO - James Lee Genet, 72, passed away Friday, Dec. 16, 2016, in Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado.

Jim was born March 2, 1944, in Eldorado to the late Maurice and Oneida (Harrawood) Genet.

He was a welding inspector by trade. He married the former Sandra Jo Gray on Dec. 22, 1963, and she survives.

In addition to his wife, survivors include his son, Mark (Amy) Genet of Benton; daughter, Tara (Joe) Ryder of Eldorado; five grandchildren, Mattie Taryn, Macie Taylor McGowan and Jon Mark Genet of Galatia, Benjamin Grady Genet of Carbondale and Justin Wayne Genet of Benton; and his beloved puppy, Addie Mae.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20, in Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado with the Rev. Danny York officiating. Burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 19, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to VNA Deaconess Hospice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
