Interactive map provides information on forest recreation sites

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[The website of the Shawnee National Forest has several maps available for free download and information for ordering the large topographical maps.

One fairly recent map links recreational sites to Forest Service brochures. Click on the map at the label Garden of the Gods and a brochure with information on the site is downloaded as a .pdf file. The brochure contains descriptions, hiking trail mileage and available campgrounds.

The map provides a chance to learn about our region on a rainy day and to plan upcoming hikes during better weather. Or download all the brochures, print them and file them so they are available for quick reference.
