</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[The Illinois State Police Carmi post conducted several targeted patrols in June in Saline, Edwards, Wayne and Hamilton counties.
Occupant Restraint Enforcement Patrols netted 86 citations and 41 written warnings, including 75 seat-belt and child-restraint citations, according to a news release from ISP Post Commander Capt. Richard Kinter.
An Alcohol Countermeasure Enforcement patrol on June 13 and June 14 in Saline and Gallatin counties resulted in one citation, on a charge of failure to carry insurance.
A roadside safety check in Gallatin on Friday, June 12 and Saturday, June 13 at the crossroads of state Route 1 and state Route 13 resulted in several citations being written. Five warnings were written for registration offenses; two citations and eight warnings were written for license offenses; one citation was written for a seat belt violation; two arrests were made for DUI; two arrests were made for other alcohol or drug offenses; three citations were written for insurance offenses; nine warnings were given for equipment offenses; and one ticket and three warnings were issued for a traffic or speeding offense, according to the news release.
