Brief pretrial held in Raymond Moss case Friday

At Friday's hearing, all matters scheduled to be discussed at the Jan. 6 hearing were tabled until the next hearing due to a variety of issues.
One problem stemmed from a possible malfunction of the jailhouse recordings Assistant State's Attorney Eva Walker claims should be allowed as evidence into the trial. The recordings seem to cut off mid-sentence with no explanation. Walker and Moss' attorney Fred Turner plan to compare their copies of the recordings to locate the source of the problem.
Until then, it was indicated no decisions would be made about the evidence.
The next hearing in the Moss case will be held Jan. 27, and the pretrial will be held 9 a.m. March 2.
