Indiana man suffers fatal fall at Garden of the Gods Sunday
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[An Indiana man died Sunday from a fall at the Garden of the Gods recreational area.
Authorities have identified the man as Darrell A. Brackett, 44, Evansville.
Saline County Central Dispatch received a 9-1-1 call 12:40 p.m. Sunday reporting a man had fallen at Garden of the Gods, near Chimney Rock. Brackett was climbing on the rocks and fell 75 to 100 feet, according to a news release from the Saline County Sheriff's Department.
Emergency responders from Gallatin County Emergency Medical Service, Equality Fire Department, Saline County
Sheriff's Department, Air Evac and the Department of Conservation arrived to assist with the rescue.
Brackett was pronounced dead by the Saline County Coroner's office at 2 p.m.
