Man accused of kicking officer's mouth
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Saline County Sheriff's Deputies arrested a Harrisburg man accused of kicking a correctional officer in the face upon being transferred to the Saline County Detention Center.
Harrisburg Police arrested Wiley Riden Jr., 60, 306 W. Raymond St., Harrisburg, 11:28 p.m. May 11 on a charge of disorderly conduct and transported him to the Saline County Detention Center.
Riden was later charged by Saline County Sheriff's Deputies with resisting a correctional officer and aggravated battery after fighting with correctional officers.
Correctional Officer Patrick McDonald said Riden was in the pat down area after being unhandcuffed and became uncompliant, disobeyed orders and was kicking at officers, according to a sheriff's report.
During the scuffle Riden kicked McDonald in the mouth, the report indicates.
McDonald told Casteel he had recently had a root canal and the kick was hurting his mouth.
Riden posted $2,100 cash bond.
