One woman was injured and a Eldorado Police Department squad car was damaged in two accidents north of Eldorado Monday morning.

At 8:10 a.m. on U.S. Route 45 south of Alexander Road Kimberly Brooke Ingles, 27, Eldorado, was driving north, lost control and crossed the center line, according to a Saline County Sheriff's Office accident report.

Tammy J. Shaw, 50, Norris City, and Melanie C. Peralta Edwards, 32, Norris City, both swerved left to avoid Ingles' car and collided, leaving the highway, according to the report.

Shaw was taken by Med Force ambulance to Ferrell Hospital where she was treated and released, according to a Ferrell Hospital spokesman.

Ingles was cited on a charge of improper lane usage.

Eldorado Police Chief Shannon Deuel's 2007 Dodge Charger squad car was parked on the shoulder of the highway while he was directing traffic around the first accident scene.

A semi tractor-trailer driven north by Teddy L. Vonderhide, 62, Du Quoin, attempted to squeeze through the other vehicles. The trailer scraped the side of Deuel's squad car, according to a Saline County Sheriff's accident report.
