A public meeting will be held 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 19 at the Harris-Pruett Building by the Saline County Emergency Management Agency to discuss flood mitigation options and possible flood buyouts in Saline County.

The Saline County EMA will be joined by the Illinois Emergency Management Agency and the Department of Natural Resources at the informational meeting.

"Our community is working hard to recover from the effects of the recent flooding that has stricken our area, we are doing everything possible to inform our residents of the options available to them," Saline County EMA Director Allan Ninness said.

Any questions prior to the meeting may be directed to Ninness at 252-3732 or Jeff Jones, Saline County flood plain administrator at 253-4027.
