The effects of the historic spring flood continue to make themselves known as a Harrisburg woman drove her car into a hole caused by flood erosion, injuring herself and damaging her car.
Jessica M. Hathaway 11:18 a.m. Friday was driving west on Shiloh Road 1.4 miles east of state Route 142 in rural Eldorado when she came over a small rise in the pavement and drove into a hole described as a "crater" in the Saline County Sheriff's Office accident report.
The crater was the result of recent flooding and there were no signs to warn of the hazard, the report indicates.
The crash into the crater damaged the undercarriage of the Scion Xb Hathaway was driving and she was taken to Harrisburg Medical Center for treatment of unspecified injuries, the report indicates.
