Evacuation order remains for Old Shawneetown, all others lifted

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[All Gallatin County evacuation orders have been lifted except in Old Shawneetown, according to a news release from Gallatin County Emergency Managment Agency.

Forest Road is still closed and the Shawneetown-New Haven Road is still closed and will remain closed until the waters continue to recede and the roads are inspected.

The Ohio River at Old Shawneetown at 6 a.m. was 50 feet, floodstage is 33 feet.

Cleaning supplies are still needed. Donations including cleaning supplies, may be left at the Salvation Army in Harrisburg between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. The Salvation Army is located at 10 W. Locust St. in Harrisburg.

The Salvation Army will be providing some clean up supplies and will do mobile feeding this weekend in some locations throughout the county.

Flood buckets may be picked up at the Shawneetown Fire Department, 111 E. Posey Ave. The flood bucket clean up kits are being provided by the Salvation Army, Red Cross and the Methodist Men's Group.

The current schedule for Salvation Army mobile feeding is starting Friday and through the weekend:

Equality from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. near the Catholic Church</li>

Junction from 11:15 a.m. to noon.</li>

New Haven from 1 p.m. to 1:30 p.m at the fire station.</li>

As the flood waters recede the Salvation Army feeding will expand into Old Shawneetown.

Anyone that has flood damage, need to register at the Gallatin County, County Clerk's Office in Shawneetown. There is a one page form that needs to be filled out. You may contact the office at 269-3025. Everyone is urged to register their damage, there is no deadline at this time to register damages.

Free clothes are available at the American Legion in Shawneetown from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and at the Equality Municipal Building during working hours.
