High school dual-credit diesel technology students at Southeastern Illinois College have begun work on restoring a 1963 Chevrolet Corvair that will be used in the SIC theater department’s upcoming production of “Grease.”

The restoration is due to be complete in time for the show, playing April 23-25 at the SIC Visual and Performing Arts Center.

Diesel tech students include Stephen Davenport of Galatia; Jeremy Scott, Tanner Mosier and Matthew Lechner, all of Carrier Mills; and Justin Travelstead, also of Galatia.
