THE NEW NORMAL, AT LEAST FOR NOW: Gas prices continue to drop, and Harrisburg residents are (cautiously!) out getting some fresh air

SALINE COUNTY - Gas prices continued to drop, reaching $1.219 per gallon in Harrisburg, and people continued to take advantage of beautiful spring weather with an abundance of caution the past couple days.

Parents and grandparents could be seen making chalk art on sidewalks. Occasionally, a bicyclist, walker or runner could be seen on the Tunnel Hill State Trail that runs from Eldorado through Harrisburg and continues to Vienna.

Traffic on roads was relatively light, though at some times, parking lots at Walmart and various dollar stores was fairly full.
