Chester's coronavirus response: What you need to know

Chester First Baptist Church: There will be a Saturday night (March 28) drive-up service starting at 5 p.m. There will not be any Sunday school and the church will not hold services on Wednesday evenings until further notice.</h3>

Rozier's Country Market: As of March 21, the store is open 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., until further notice.</h3>

Buena Vista National Bank: All branch lobbies and the Rozier's Country Mart banking location are all closed. All drive-up and walk-up facilities are open as normal. There are extended hours at the bank's main location in Chester, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Friday and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays. Customer service and banking staff can answer questions or set appointments, at (618) 826-2331.

Chester Unit District 139 meals: Food distribution for children up to age 18 has been consolidated into one location, from 10 a.m. to noon at Chester Grade School. Additionally, a school bus will distribute meals in Ellis Grove next to the fire station and in Rockwood next to the Post Office, both from 11 a.m. to noon. Meals are available for pickup only. No one will be allowed inside to eat. Meals for multiple days may be picked up on the same day (limit five total). Each bag includes items for both breakfast and lunch. Note: No distribution on Friday, March 27.

Memorial Hospital: Patient visits are restricted. All patients/visitors will be screened in the main entrance lobby or the ER. No more than two visitors for any patient, none under the age of 12. Patients are asked to postpone Medicare Wellness Visits or routine screenings. Patients going to ER will be limited to one accompanying individual. Public access and extracurricular activities at all of Memorial Hospital's locations (including the Rehab Center) has been suspended until further notice.

St. John Lutheran Church: In house worship services are suspended. There will be a radio broadcast of the Wednesday 7 p.m. service and the Sunday 10 a.m. service on KSGM 980-AM.

Chester High School scholarships: the deadline for scholarship applications has been extended to May 1. Honor Night is scheduled for May 13.

First Bank: The lobby is closed but anyone needing special services or who has questions, contact a representative at (618) 826-2334. The drive-up window is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday; and 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday.

Chester Area Christian Food Pantry: The March mobile market at Cohen Field, scheduled for Wednesday, March 25, is canceled.
