Meet author Kevin Corley at Benton Public Library March 14

BENTON - Shelbyville author Kevin Corley, who recently published "13 Steps for Charlie Birger," will be at the Benton Public Library from noon to 5 p.m. for the library's genealogy fair on Saturday, March 14.

Corley will be on hand promoting "13 Steps" as well as his other books, "Sundown Town," "Sixteen Tons," and "Throw Out the Water."

Corley sells his novels at local presentations for $10 each, which he will sign at the purchaser's request.

He said "13 Steps" already has sold more than 500 copies.

In addition, Corley said he plans to do a presentation from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, on the eve of the anniversary of Charlie Birger's hanging at the Benton Public Square.

Corley said he may be joined by local historian Bob Rea, portraying the ghost of Charlie Birger.

Corley also will have his novels available for purchase at the April 18 event.
