Eldorado author Shirley Naas to feature book Thursday

ELDORADO - An Eldorado author will feature her first novel at an event Thursday at Harrisburg District Library.

Shirley Naas will be at the library at 6 p.m. to discuss, sign and sell copies of her book "Convergence."

Naas said her book was published in January by Saguaro Books LLC and is sold online by Amazon and Barnes and Noble.

The novel draws upon familiar locations in southern Illinois, she said.

"My book is a work of fiction, a fantasy of angels and demons battling at Max Creek in southern Illinois. It is a tale of good against evil based primarily in the Shawnee National Forest and along the Ohio River," Naas said. "Many other areas and towns in our area are part of the plot. Although my book is fiction, it has a great deal of historical and scientific facts along with local lore."

She also has copies of the novel at Book Emporium in Harrisburg and 276 Exchange in Equality.

All are invited to meet and greet Naas and learn about her book at 6 p.m. Thursday at Harrisburg District Library.
