Police charge one related to package theft

HARRISBURG - Harrisburg Police Department charged a Harrisburg man related to the alleged theft of a package from another Harrisburg residence.

Officers informally charged Bryce A. Ham, 34, with theft under $500, theft by possession and unlawful possession of methamphetamine 15-100 grams.

On Jan. 23, HPD executed a search warrant at 318 W. South St. in Harrisburg. The search warrant was issued after an investigation into the theft of a package from a resident's front porch. While investigating, officers found and recovered at the 318 W. South St. residence, property allegedly stolen during four separate burglaries.

In addition, officers found evidence related to the alleged package theft they were investigating and a found a substance that tested positive for methamphetamine.

Saline County Sheriff's Office deputies assisted in the investigation.

As noted by the Harrisburg Police Department, all people charged with an offense are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
