HARRISBURG - Harrisburg celebrated its 2019 Homecoming over the weekend, which featured the annual homecoming parade Thursday afternoon.
This year's theme was "The Greatest Show," which was circus-themed and based on the musical "The Greatest Showman" based on the life of circus promoter P.T. Barnum.
Senior Sophie Winkleman was declared the 2019 Harrisburg High School Homecoming Queen during halftime at the HHS football game against West Frankfort Friday night.
Seniors Kara Futch, Lauren McDaniel and Nicholle Shaw also were nominated as homecoming queen candidates. Carlea Fuerback was the junior attendant, Riley Harrison was the sophomore attendant and Hannah Goolsby was the freshman attendant.
Senior Isaac Crabb was voted Mr. Bulldog Thursday night prior to the homecoming bonfire celebration.
