Marion Main Street hosts first of two car shows

This magnificently restored 1936 Pontiac belonging to John Reynolds of Marion was on display at Marion Main Street's car show Saturday evening. Reynolds said that the car is powered by a beefed up 350-cubic-inch, 375-horsepower Chevy engine. He said, "I bought the car two years ago in Arizona." Ceasar Maragni photo
A yellow moon car accessory emblem window sticker was a good color match for Rick Hasier's canary yellow 1941 Studebaker. The Marion man first drove to Kentucky to look at the car but didn't buy it. His wife then explained how it ended up in their driveway "He found it in Kentucky two years ago, so we drove down there, but he passed on it and we came back home to Marion. Then he dreamed about it - so naturally, he went back down there and bought it."
