HARRISBURG -- Harrisburg Unit 3 Maintenance Director Tony Chrisman recently received recognition for his efforts at Harrisburg's schools.

Baysinger Architects of Marion awarded Chrisman its Unsung Hero Award for the winter of 2018/2019.

According to Baysinger's Director of Marketing Andy Sisulak, the award goes to maintenance staff members at school districts who exemplify outstanding commitment to their work.

"These awards recognize very deserving K-12 maintenance staff members for their commitment to creating and maintaining a safe and productive educational environment for their school district," Sisulak said.

Additional support of the award is from Bacon Farmer Workman Engineering, also of Marion.

Each winner receives an award, a travel mug with a custom logo and a gift certificate.

Besides Chrisman, maintenance directors Tim Smith at Cobden District 17 and Jeff Heisner at Fairfield Community High School District 225 received the recognition.
