Suspects in RaMonte Scott shooting caught in St. Louis

ST. LOUIS - St. Louis police have captured two men wanted in connection with the Aug. 13 shooting of a Harrisburg man.

According to Harrisburg Police Chief David Morris, at about 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, the St. Louis Metropolitan SWAT team and FBI Fugitive Task Force agents found Andrew D. Johnson, 32, and Mario J. Ward, 34, in St. Louis.

The two are wanted in connection with the shooting of RaMonte Scott, 24, of Harrisburg. Scott was found with multiple gunshots in a yard on North Club Street.

Morris said Scott has undergone multiple surgeries since.

Johnson and Ward are charged with attempted murder, home invasion, aggravated battery, armed robbery, unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, and criminal damage to property.

Johnson and Ward remain in the St. Louis County Justice Center, pending extradition to Saline County.

Morris credited HPD, along with multiple city, county, state and federal agencies, for working countless hours to locate Johnson and Ward.
