Harrisburg man sentenced to 13 years for home invasion

SALINE COUNTY -- Judge Walden E. Morris sentenced Scotty L. Adams, 44, of Harrisburg, to 13 years in prison for a home invasion.

Morris sentenced Adams on Feb. 16. Adams pleaded guilty to the Class X felony. On Nov. 8, 2017, the Saline County State's Attorney's Office filed charges against Adams. Those charges arose out of an incident in which it was alleged that Adams invaded the victim's home in Harrisburg and intentionally caused injury to the victim. The investigation of Adams' case was led by the Harrisburg Police Department. Assistant State's Attorney Jason A. Olson led the prosecution of Adams.
