Harrisburg Student of the Week - Easton Witges

Easton Witges, 8, a third-grader at East Side Intermediate School, is Harrisburg Student of the Week.

He was nominated by his teacher, Brooke Robertson.

"Easton is a very helpful student. He loves to read and is so excited to be able to take AR test and see how many points he can earn," Mrs. Robertson said. "He enjoys school and is always eager to sneak into class every morning."

Easton's favorite thing to study in class is science.

"I find it interesting. I can learn about space and other things," he said.

When he's not in school, Easton likes playing with friends, watching TV and playing kickball, basketball, golf, baseball and video games. He also plays with his sister.

Easton likes reading the "Magic Tree House" books. His favorite movie is "Cars 3," and his favorite TV show is "Fuller House."

When he grows up, Easton said he wants to be a principal and a dad.

If he were to compare himself with any superhero, Easton said he is most like Batman because he is "brave" and "helps people out."
