Former Saline County treasurer Danny Ragan has died

HARRISBURG -- At the beginning of Thursday's Harrisburg city council meeting, Mayor John McPeek said he and city commissioners had just learned of the passing of former county Treasurer Danny Ragan.

Ragan was treasurer until August 2016 when he retired due to health reasons.

"The council is saddened to learn of the passing of former county Treasurer Danny Ragan," McPeek said. "We would ask that you pray for his family during this time."
