Small power outage reported Friday night

HARRISBURG – A power outage Friday night affected a small number of accounts south of Harrisburg, a Southeastern Illinois Electrical Cooperative representative reported Monday.

Stefanie Tripp, administrative assistant and human resources manager for SEIEC, said faulty metering equipment at the Southern Illinois Power Cooperative left 365 accounts without power for two hours Friday evening.

She said the outage lasted almost exactly two hours before power was restored.
