Old Dominion, George Thorogood highlight entertainment package at HerrinFesta Italiana

<div>HERRIN -&#160;ACM Vocal Group of the Year nominee, Old Dominion, and high-energy rocker George Thorogood and The Destroyers are just two of the acts that will highlight the 2017 HerrinFesta Italiana presented by People's National Bank, May 22-29&#160;in downtown Herrin.&#160;</div>

<div>Multi-platinum country artist Gary Allan, the charismatic rock band, Halestorm, and 80's rock re-creators, Hairball, complete the lineup.&#160;</div>

<div>New premium reserved seating is also part of the big news for HerrinFesta 2017.&#160;</div>

<div>"We're excited to offer the opportunity for our guests to buy an advanced reserved seat," said HerrinFesta President Cris Trapani. "It's something we've wanted to do for a long time."&#160;</div>

<div>The reserved seats will be in addition to existing Pit and General Admission tickets. The entertainment begins on Thursday, May 25 with Hairball, a band that captures the 80's arena rock experience. Van Halen, Kiss, Motley Crew, Queen, Journey, Prince, and Aerosmith are just a few of the monster rock bands that Hairball re-creates.&#160;</div>

<div>The band members say they are much more than a tribute band. They promise an arena rock experience with the accompanying lights, sound, smoke, and fire. Although the band has been touring the Midwest for over 16 years, this is their first appearance at HerrinFesta.</div>

<div>Local band, Party Pants, will open for Hairball.&#160;</div>

<div>On Friday, May 26th, Gary Allan takes the HerrinFesta stage. With a modern outlaw persona, Allan has charted five No. 1&#160;country radio hits, fourteen&#160;top 10 hits, and more than 270 million total streams. Allan's chart toppers include "Man to Man," "Tough Little Boys," "Nothing On but the Radio" and "Every Storm (Runs Out of Rain)."&#160;</div>

<div>"Do You Wish It Was Me?," the debut single from his newest album, is set to release in June. Allan has been called "dark and dreamy" by Entertainment Weekly and "soulful and rough around the edges" by Playboy.&#160;</div>

<div>John Spicer and Eli Tellor open for Gary Allan.&#160;</div>

<div>Saturday is always a big night at HerrinFesta and, on May 27, Old Dominion will continue that tradition. The band likes to say that they blend old-fashioned country charm, lyrical wit and rock n' roll grit. That combination brought them a hit debut album, "Meat and Candy," with two number one country hits.&#160;</div>

<div>"Break Up With Him," and "Song For Another Time" both charted #1 while "Snapback" earned a gold record. The group earned ACM New Group of the Year honors in 2016 and is nominated for ACM Vocal Group of the Year in 2017. They have toured with Kenny Chesney and Miranda Lambert as well as fronting their own tour.&#160;</div>

<div>A new single, "There's No Such Thing as a Broken Heart," will be the lead track on Old Dominion's upcoming second album. Kali Lynn Trio and We Got It Covered will open for Old Dominion.&#160;</div>

<div>On Sunday, May 28, one of rock's most electric modern acts will be at Festa. Grammy award-winning quartet, Halestorm, is fronted by Lzzy Hale, while her brother, Arejay, plays drums.&#160;</div>

<div>Guitarist Joe Hottinger and bassist Josh Smith round out the group. Formed in 1997 when Lzzy was 13 and her brother, Arejay, just 10, that early group also included dad Roger on bass.&#160;</div>

<div>Halestorm's "Love Bites...(So Do I)" won a Grammy in 2013 in the Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance Category. That single came off the second of the group's three studio albums. Lzzy Hale says they are currently planning their fourth album release.&#160;</div>

<div>In the meantime the group has been getting accolades for its "ReAniMate 3.0: The CoVeRs eP." The EP includes covers of Whitesnake, Sophie B. Hawkins, Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, Twenty One Pilots, and Soundgarden. The EP was just released in January.&#160;</div>

<div>Opening for Halestorm will be For the City and Four Deep.&#160;</div>

<div>George Thorogood and The Destroyers' "Rock Party Tour 2017" comes to Herrin to close this year's HerrinFesta on Monday,&#160;May 29.&#160;</div>

<div>Over 40 years, Thorogood and his bandmates have sold over 15 million albums. Their 1982 mega hit, "Bad to the Bone," is one of rock music's most memorable anthems.&#160;</div>

<div>"Move It On Over," "The Sky Is Crying," and "Who Do You Love?, "were among the band's early hits. Other hits include "I Drink Alone," "I'm a Steady Rolling Man," "One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer" and "Get a Haircut."&#160;</div>

<div>The blues-influenced classic rock group has six gold and two platinum discs to their credit. Thorogood is currently working on a solo album.&#160;</div>

<div>American Lion will open for George Thorogood and The Destroyers.&#160;</div>

<div>HerrinFesta Italiana 2017 tickets went&#160;on sale March 9th at herrinfesta.com. HerrinFesta Italiana is a week-long annual festival presented by the Herrin Chamber of Commerce. The Festa won the 2014 Governor's Award for Best Festival in Illinois.&#160;</div>
