Frank Herbert Cox

Frank Herbert Cox, 87, of Harrisburg, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016 at Saline Care Center.

Mr. Cox was born in Eldorado, Illinois on March 12, 1929 to the late Glenn Waverly and Gladys May (Pack) Cox. He married Mary Lou Cannon and she preceded him in death on Dec. 7, 2013. Mr. Cox was a heavy equipment operator and an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.

Mr. Cox is survived by his brothers, Gerald Delano Cox of Chicago and Robert Eugene Cox of Eldorado; friend, Nora Markham, of Harrisburg; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Cox was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Alfred Evans; brother, George Cox; sisters, Mary Rose (Cox) Baker and Donna Sue (Cox) Delapp.

A private family service will be held with Rev. Ownly Williams officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be sent to the family through the obituary page at www.reedfuneralchapel.com.
