Vera Evans

Vera Evans, 82, of Harrisburg, IL passed away at 1:22 PM, Monday, August 29, 2016, at Saline Care Center.

She was born on April 30, 1934 in Pope County, IL to the late Charles and Margaret (Pulaski) Dorch. She married Joseph "J.C." Evans and he preceded her in death in 1983. Vera worked as a supervisor for a manufacturing company in Chicago.

Surviving family members include 3 sons: Ronald Evans Sr. of Billings Montana; Donald and wife Carol Evans of Harwood Heights, IL; and Jerry "Joey" Evans of Harrisburg; 3 grandchildren: Ron Evans, Jr. and wife Nichole of Billings, Montana; Ashley Evans and Joseph "Joe" Evans both of Harwood Heights, IL; 2 great-grandchildren: Eric Evans and Abigail Evans both of Billings Montana; 1 sister: Elizabeth Neible and husband Bob of Rocky Mount, MO; and 1 brother: George Dorch and wife Cathy of Manhattan, IL along with several nieces and nephews.

Vera was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister: Helen Rogers; brother: Joseph Dorch and daughter-in-law: Carol Evans.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Lindale Cemetery in Eldorado. There will be no visitation and those wishing to attend should gather at the cemetery.
